The Life I Lived

A Man, A Van, On a Journey Across North America

“Stories aren't just told; they're brought to life by experiences”

The Life I Lived

“Sitting on the weathered park bench, I basked in the sunset’s warm glow, immersed in memories that shaped my life—the joys, growth from failures, laughter, and cleansing tears. Each choice became a brushstroke painting of my existence, leading to this moment.

Lost in reflection, I pondered my actions’ significance. Did I leave a trail of goodness and touch lives? Did I pursue dreams with passion and purpose? Did I honor my Creator’s gifts? Clarity washed over me as the universe spoke, revealing truths in whispers.

Memories flooded my mind: conversing and helping strangers, inspiring others through creativity, and cherishing loved ones. Every act of kindness had an impact. Through my Creator’s eyes, I saw my intentions and unwavering passion. External judgment and achievements couldn’t define me.

My purpose extended beyond personal success—making a difference, radiating love, kindness, and compassion. Adversity only strengthened my resolve. Gratefulness enveloped me as I recognized how every experience shaped me.

On that bench, as the sun set, inner peace embraced me. Despite my shortcomings, I lived true to my purpose, touching hearts and igniting hope. Dissolving into eternity, I carried the knowledge that my Creator smiled, proud of my steps for the greater good. This realization brought profound contentment—a life that was all good.

ABOUT ME

As a retired aerospace design engineer, I love to travel and meet people. Currently, I’m driving across North America in a van, searching for legends, mysteries, and history. I enjoy hearing other people’s stories about their journeys in life—how they got to where they are today and where they are going. My goal is to inspire, encourage, and empower others.

But I don’t stop there. I have a passion for writing flash fiction stories, creating “children’s stories for adults and children.” These stories are meant to be read and shared with children, reflecting the messages within each story and the connections they foster.

I hope we meet along the way, and I can share one of my stories that I’m passionate about. Click the links below to follow me on my journey, read the stories I publish, and see the places I go and the people I meet.

It’s only just the beginning, but every day I look back, “It’s The Life I Lived.”
